About the Series

William "Billy" Butterbread III lives at No. 41, Broadwalk Avenue in Cheston Village, Surrey; he works as a food-critic, TV Persona, and Private Investigator - sometimes all at once!

Nicknamed "The Food Man" by the villagers, Billy specialises most of his cases around obscure incidents involving food up and down the UK - in the hope of one day discovering "The Ultimate Recipe"....

Accompanying Billy throughout the series are girl-next-door Jean Phelps - an Events Manager, his fellow tenant Ryan Thompson - an aspiring Electrician, Janet Worthing - a Police Officer rising steadily through the ranks - and Mister Snoutnose - the grumpy landlord, as they all embark on some of the most mesmerising, dry-humoured, and thrilling escapades of the modern day!
